The Sea House  Contemporary architect designed house by the sea
The Sea House (sleeps 5 and a cot), is a detached contemporary property built in 2000, architecturally designed in the style of a Cape Cod Sea House. It boasts stunning sea and coastal views, enhanced by it's reversed style accommodation. The contemporary furnishings and decor reflect a modern seaside ambience throughout. The Sea House is situated on the Southern edge of the picturesque fishing village of Coverack and is close to the coastal path that runs through the village. The sea and coastal views across Perprean Cove and Chynhalls Point are panoramic and because The Sea House is built so high above sea level, you can sit on the balconies and watch the sea gulls wheeling beneath you.

Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed in the Sea House. To read what our guests say about staying at The Sea House, please look to the right of this page.

The reverse level accomodation includes three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one single) and a family bathroom on the ground floor. Both the master bedroom and twin bedroom boast picture windows to maximise the views. The master bedroom features it's own substantial balcony, and the Atlantic vista can be enjoyed whilst lying in bed. In addition, the master bedroom also features an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and wash-basin.

Upstairs there is a superb open-plan living room with vaulted ceiling and double balcony, and a comprehensively fitted kitchen area. The open-plan living room is enhanced by modern wood flooring and comprises of a dining area and lounge/sofa area with coffee table and wide-screen TV, video, DVD and HiFi system. The clean and contemporary furnishings ensure comfort whilst watching the ever-changing ocean through the large French doors.

Beneath the balconies is a small patio area, accessible via steps to the side of the house. A bbq is provided for our guests enjoyment.

Mears Beach, is a 10 minute walk from The Sea House and is a where the locals tend to swim. The walk takes you along the coastal path, towards Chynhalls Point which although not steep is uneven in places. It is not a suitable walk for buggies or wheelchairs. The beach is sandy and great of crabbing and generally mucking about in rock-pools. When the conditions are right, this beach is also prone to bigger surf than Coverack beach, which tends to be more sheltered. Great for those wishing to body board.

Exterior steps lead down to The Sea House from the private parking area, shared with residents of a neighbouring property. The Sea House has dedicated parking for two cars.

Because The Sea House has such high balconies, we feel it is unsuitable for families with young children (1-8yrs), but we welcome babies aged up to one year.

With balconies overlooking a breathtaking unspoilt bay, pub and restaurants within a 10 minute walk, a coastal footpath on your doorstep and peace and quiet at your fingertips - what more could you wish for!
